Account Manager - East

ROCKWELL AUTOMATION, a leading manufacturer of power transmission products and industrial electric motors, is seeking an Account Manager for the Eastern United States to join our Team.

 

The qualified candidate will promote RA products in the Power Generation Industry by calling on End User Plants and Corporate HQ, Engineering Consulting Firms and Equipment OEM?s.  He/She will seek out & promote RA innovative solutions to end users and incorporate RA product specifications into end user specification packages.  Candidate will identify and pursue ?new construction?, redesign, repair and upgrade opportunities throughout the Power Industry and promote cost saving/ innovative engineering solutions as prepared by our Industry Engineer.  He/She will locate problem systems and obtain necessary data for analysis. He/she will also promote best operating practices for pumps, compressors, and associated systems; troubleshoot operational events; identify reliability/risk assessments on pumps, compressors, fans and conveyor systems.  Candidate will promote predictive tools to monitor pump, fan and compressor condition and performance as well as promote root cause analysis of equipment failures and technical support for motor overhauls and repairs including work scope identification and field service.  He/She will promote/market cost justification for equipment modifications/upgrades as they apply to Reliance products and review/discuss system curves plotting speed changes to flow and viscosity.  Candidate will evaluate/prepare repair procedures and specifications, provide field support for equipment installation and startup, prepare specifications for new equipment replacement as they relate to Power Plant equipment and perform bid evaluations and reviews of vendor document and drawing submittals.

 

A Bachelor?s Degree in Engineering is required; Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred.  In addition, a minimum 5+ years experience in the Power Generation Industry, a strong sales background, excellent people skills, and strong communication skills (both written and verbal) are also required.  This position will require travel to locations throughout the Eastern U.S. and the availability to support customers 24/7.  Candidate must have working knowledge of all types of Electric Power Generation systems and possess the ability to effectively present technical solutions at all levels.  He/She should be trained in or have working knowledge of Six Sigma processes.  Participation in professional organizations as they apply to the Power Generation industry (IEEE, ASME, EPRI, HI) is desirable.
