Account Manager - Fashion (#205)

The NPD Group, Inc (NPD) is a global market information company that measures product movement and consumer behavior across a broad range of industries ? apparel, automotive products, consumer electronics, cosmetics and fragrances, food, foodservice, footwear, housewares, information technology, interactive entertainment, toys, and music.

 

The Account Manager manages NPD's relationships with clients-including in dept analysis, presentations to senior management and contract renewal negotiations. The Account Manager also understands the big picture in clients' businesses and proactively identifies opportunities to apply NPD research to key issues.

Overall Responsibilities: Managing NPD's relationship with apparel manufacturers through client relationship building and day-to-day servicing. Responding to client requests, utilizing existing databases, new analyses, new services, and industry knowledge. Addressing and troubleshooting data quality issues. Planning and conducting cross-functional business reviews and information sessions that tie into the client's key initiatives and leads to actionable business decisions. Incorporating industry and client knowledge into the internal and external planning process. Growing revenue of the accounts as well as identifying new business opportunities within the given budget structure.

Qualifications: 5-8 years experience in account management or client service research or equivalent. Solid industry and client knowledge. Solid presentation skills to large groups. Strong organizational and project management skills. Competent in entire selling process as well as account planning experience. Manufacturer/Retailer experience a plus. Expert in all MS Office products. (Strong Excel, PowerPoint, Word). Travel (typically 20%) BA/BS or equivalent.
