Account Manager - Market Research

 

We are seeking to hire a self motivated Account Manager for business-to-business market research sales. Our Account Managers sell research subscriptions and custom research consulting services to the marketing and planning managers of technology and media companies. You will help key executives of Fortune 500 companies define their market research needs for new technology-based products and services. Our Account Managers close sales by building a rapport with potential accounts, explaining product and service capabilities, preparing proposals and presentations, overcoming objections, and preparing contracts. Each Account Manager has a protected territory with both established accounts and new potential. Responsibilities include lead generation, qualification, closing sales, trade show attendance, and servicing/managing existing customer relationships.

 

Candidates should have a successful record of strategic selling experience, including excellent writing and presentation skills for C-level sales.

 

Compensation includes commission with interim base salary. We offer comprehensive benefits and 401k.

 

 

Requirements:

 

5+ years business-to-business sales experience

College degree

Experience in consultative and proposal-based sales

Track record of meeting/exceeding sales goals

Effective communicator with excellent written and verbal communication

 

Preferred:

 

Degree in business or marketing

Experience in sale of market research products and services

Familiar with companies and technologies related to:

- Consumer electronics

- Digital entertainment

- Home computing and networking

- Communications

- Home control systems
