Job Description:
Intertek, ETL SEMKO, a leading testing and certification services company, is looking to fill an account manager opening in its Boxborough, MA location.
The Account Manager will maintain continuous high-level contact with clients, and must become familiar with the products and markets in which our clients operate. This Manager will work with agency principals and team members to manage:
? our clients? activities at the project and program level
? relationships with clients
? client day-to-day information requests
? new business contract and renewal negotiations
? proactively identifying opportunities to apply proprietary services to key issues
The successful candidate will have a background in selling enterprise solutions, and is able to serve clients in a consultative fashion that helps them identify and address needs as they emerge in their evolving business environment.
Areas of Responsibility
1. Developing business with both new and existing clients
2. Identifying prospect accounts, working to set meetings with decision makers, and assisting agency principles in closing new client business
3. Representing ETL SEMKO at industry functions, trade shows or other events.
4. Coordinating company response to incoming new client inquiries.
5. Identifying needs and opportunities within existing client accounts, and serving as the first point of contact for responding to client needs and inquiries.
Skills/Knowledge Required
1. Ability to initiate, negotiate and acquire new business contracts. Proven consistency in reaching sales revenue goals/quotes.
2. Excellent written and oral communication skills, including public presentation skills.
3. Working knowledge of management systems, including design, manufacturing, quality, human resources, finance, sales/marketing, and administration. Experience and confidence to make recommendations to prospects in any of these areas.
4. Customer-service focus.
5. Excellent teamwork skills.
6. Ability to manage self and territory independently, while achieving territory revenue/business goals.
7. Knowledge of: electronic sales databases; field technology devices such as laptop computers portable printer, fax machine, cellular telephone, etc).
Education/Experience Required
3-5 years field sales or equivalent industry experience is required. Experience in selling enterprise solutions to executive level decision makers is required. Knowledge of ISO9000/Quality Systems management is preferred. BA/BS degree or higher is preferred.
