Account Relationship Manager, Pro Services - Inside Sales

Summary: Build.com (www.build.com) is the leading on line supplier of decorative plumbing, lighting and hardware products to the professional trade. The site is a membership site restricted to trade professionals.  The Account Relationship Manager is responsible for opening new accounts for trade professionals who apply for accounts on line and through the Company?s direct marketing activities, and for developing relationships with those accounts to insure repeat business. The trade professionals that Build.com serves are custom builders, remodeling contractors, decorators and designers, and plumbing and lighting contractors. The Account Relationship Manager is supported by a trained team of product and customer service professionals. The Account Relationship Manager will have, or will have the ability to quickly acquire, knowledge of the trade professional market and will be compensated on their success in opening new accounts and increasing order frequency and size.  This is an inside sales position in which the Account Relationship Manager must leverage technology and our industry leading service and product offering to provide a superior and continued professional customer experience.

 

Detailed Responsibilities: To manage a regionally defined and dynamic account list through telephone and email communications.To acquire new accounts, approve membership, and establish a relationship that supports repeat business.To coordinate the Sales and Customer Service efforts to service the professional account?s needs on a daily basis and to ensure that the Pro customer receives an exceptional service and product sales experience.To work with the Marketing Team on all initiatives; to ensure operational viability and consistency of message and service.To be the ?Pro Services? champion within the Sales Team and for the Company.

 

Requirements:Account management preferred; minimum of 2 years relevant sales experience Telephone sales experience preferred. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.Strong computer skills; ACT! and Microsoft Office applications such as Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.A functional understanding of e-retailing.The ability to multi-task, work independently, and solve problems.Contractor, builder, designer industry experience (preferred but not required)
