Account Sales Representative-West

ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE

 

 

General Purpose of Position:

 

The Account Executive is responsible for call coverage and selling to achieve IdeaSphere?s retail sales goals, focusing on Whole Foods, Wild Oats and the top 5 Accounts in their Geographic area. The Account Executive ensures retail program implementation to achieve IdeaSphere?s profit, volume and share goals.

 

 

Duties & Responsibilities (but not limited to):

 Develop and Implement Retail Coverage and Work Plans: Develop, manage and implement the retail coverage (routing) and sales (program implementation) work plans for Whole Foods, Wild Oats and customers to achieve assigned objectives. Achieve Assigned Objectives: Achieve agreed to retail objectives with WF, WO and Key customers to achieve budget, volume and retail program objectives. These activities by customer may include, but are not limited to:

?  Selling Expanded SKU distribution ? 75, 150, 200, etc.

?  Selling New Products

?  Selling and Placing Display Units

?  Selling Team Twin Customer Agreement

?  Achieving Orders of $1,000 ?1,250 at retail accounts

?  Managing shelf compliance to enhance the presence & position if the ISI brands.

?  Performing sort sets and merchandising activities at store level to achieve compliance Provide Timely Coverage & Program Implementation Reporting: Ensure the timely reporting (daily) of retail program implementation with customers in the assigned territory. Evaluate program performance on a regular (minimum quarterly) basis, reviewing the results with ISI?s Sales management to identify opportunities for improvement in future implementationEnsure Program Communication & Implementation with assigned Customers: Ensure the timely and actionable communication of ISI?s retail priorities to retail customers. Sell and manage retail program implementation and merchandising execution at assigned customers to achieve objectives.

 Demonstrate & Communicate Product Knowledge: demonstrate knowledge of Twinlab, Nature?s Herb and Alvita Tea, and Metabolife product lines ? technology, ingredients, applications, etc. to retail customers and in-store sales personnel.Train Account Executives: Assist in development of other Account Executives as needed and assist the Regional Manager in personnel development within the Region. Work with Account Executives as assigned by the Regional Manager and demonstrate methods of selling to improve their skills. 

 

 

Educational Requirements:Bachelor?s Degree or equivalent

 

Training and/or Experience:

4 years experience in sales and/or marketing with consumer products companies selling to retail customers.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Personnel for this position are required to have demonstrated the following behaviors:

? Demonstrate an entrepreneurial spirit and selling skills to effectively overcome objections and ?close a sale?

? Strong listening skills, and relationship building to understand customers? business needs

? Excellent written and verbal skills to develop and make effective customer presentations that address customer needs and lead to customer commitments

? Strong computer and software skills (such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and the ability to use information and technology to analyze retail performance and make business building recommendations

? An understanding of product technology, ingredients and applications

? Time management and organization skills to manage a territory effectively

 

Additional Requirements:

? Travel 60% of the time

? Have a credit card or is capable of applying for one

? Have a clean valid driver?s license
