Advertising Account Executive

Job Purpose:

Responsible for selling outdoor advertising concepts to current and prospective clients within the market utilizing existing inventory while maintaining a professional image and obtaining customer satifaction, both internally and externally


Duties:

* Determines client advertising campaign requirements by utilizing product or service knowledge, marketing research, media capabilities, and audience characteristics.



* Identifies current and future customer service requirements by establishing rapport with potential and actual customers and other persons in a position to understand customer requirements.



* Develops advertising budget by conferring with agency artists, copywriters, photographers, and other media-production specialists to select media and estimate costs.



* Obtains client acceptance by developing a campaign strategy; preparing and presenting proposals, concepts


* Guides advertising production by coordinating marketing research, art layout, media time and space purchases.


* Implements advertising campaigns by negotiating billboard rates; authorizing contracts.


* Evaluates, adjusts, and redirects advertising campaigns by studying and analyzing sales results, demographics, customer satisfaction surveys, and other market research information.



* Maintains client confidence and protects advertising operations by keeping information confidential.



* Provides account information by answering questions and requests.



* Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.



* Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.



* Contributes to agency effectiveness by identifying short-term and long-range issues that must be addressed; providing information and commentary pertinent to deliberations; recommending options and courses of action; implementing directives.



* Contributes to agency team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
