Advertising Account Management

Advertising Account Executives / Sales person for "Action Unlimited", an Award winning community newspaper delivered by the U.S. Post Office to "every home every week" in our circulation area. Action Unlimited has 5 editions on Cape Cod and 11 Editions in the Boston, Metro West area.  We are currently delivered to 202,000 homes weekly. Our Web Site is actionunlimited.com. We are always happy to interview qualified sales professionals for either of our circulation areas.

 

You, based on your sales success, will determine your paycheck. Our sales people make between $35,000 and $120,000 per year based on the commissioned sales they generate. 

 

The job requires excellent organization, communication and telephone skills

You must be able to manage a large number of accounts

You will be prospecting for new business and assisting customers in creating advertising programs

You will meet all sales performance expectations-----

You will secure new Display and insert customers,

This job requires the monitoring and up selling of the existing customer base in an assigned geographic territory.



You will service accounts by picking up copy in a timely manner, turning it in to graphics department and proofing the ads (with the customer as well when appropriate)

 

You will pick up payment from customers and turn it to office in timely manner

 

You will make sure tear sheets for customers are supplied when necessary

 

You will keep weekly sales sheets

 

You will keep list of current accounts at all times

 

You will keep Daily call reports and turn them in to your sales manager weekly.

 

You will call on new accounts as they open in your territory or inform sales manager

 

You will come to office at 8 AM Monday thru Thursday before proceeding to call on to your accounts. Friday's will be spent on prospecting for new accounts.

 

You will stay in the office on deadline day until your last ad is proofed unless you make other arrangements with your sales manager for occasional exceptions.

 

You will attend sales meetings

 

The sales manager will reassign unsold (90 days or more) accounts in your territory that are not seasonal

 

You will attend seminars to increase knowledge
