The Category Management Department, a branch of the Sales Operations Department, is a support center that serves Field Sales as well as many internal departments.

Position Objective: Assist Category Manager in providing Field Sales, Customer Marketing, Sales Planning, and Marketing with analytical support.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES include but not limited to:
Assist Category Manager in providing Field Sales, Customer Marketing, Sales Planning, and Marketing with analytical support.

Evaluate consumption data trends utilizing ACNielsen and/or Account POS

Develop account specific planograms according to Division strategy in conjunction with Account Manager's recommendations

Develop category overview templates and provide strategic insights as they pertain to the business

Develop space analysis presentations and summarize findings in order to assist field sales in meeting their space objectives

Evaluate promotion analyses for efficiency and effectiveness

Conduct effective presentations on account calls in the absence of a Category Manager.

Performs other miscellaneous tasks and duties as assigned by supervisor/manager.

College degreed with 2-3 years of experience in the consumer package goods industry.

Strong analytical abilities to assess data and make solid business decisions/recommendations.

Extensive personal computer knowledge with experience in a Windows based environment (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access).

Experience with ACNielsen Nitro, ACNielsen Account Planner and any space management software (ie. ProSpace, Intercept, etc.) a plus.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Strong organizational skills, presentation proficiency and interpersonal skills a must.
