Position Description:

 

SkyLink USA is currently seeking a Business Development and Sales Officer for our corporate headquarters in Herndon, Virginia.

 Achieving volume, revenue, margin, and other targetsDefining sales strategies, target markets and customersEnsuring continued generation of new leadsSetting and presenting at initial client introductory meetings Ongoing follow up and successful closureManaging sales relationships to support customers as neededUnderstanding and keeping track of changing customer needsHaving an in depth knowledge of the key competitors and understand their strengths and weaknesses; exploiting resulting opportunitiesDeveloping new opportunities to acquire new businessPersonally participating in key strategic salesImplementing effective sales and marketing programs that provide maximum exposure of new business development prospects within the established goals and objectives of the companyDeveloping and marketing short-term opportunities and long-term opportunities worldwide, primarily with logistics basing, management and stabilization programsCommunicating daily with military, civilian, and USG representativesMaintaining a database and customer relations systemDeveloping joint venture agreements and partnering opportunitiesDeveloping teaming relationships with other companiesOrganizing and leading business teams in proposalsAssisting in preparation of proposals in response to RFPsPreparing and presenting unsolicited RFPs

 

Requirements:

 3+ years in business development and sales within either the corporate or the Federal sector, preferably in the fields of defense, DHS/FEMA, national security programs, logistics, transportation or related experienceExperience in outside sales, developing new businessStrong, assertive, ?hunter? personalityNetworked with a range of relevant business contactsTrack record of successful sales with key USG or large scale private industry clientsExcellent communications, organizational, motivational, interpersonal, relationship-building, and leadership skillsExceptional oral, written and presentation communications skillsBA Degree in Marketing, Business or other. MBA a plus.Limited business travel requirement ? less than 10%
