CARFAX, a leading provider of vehicle history information, is seeking a Data Acquisition Manager to join our Data Department at our corporate offices in Fairfax, Virginia. This is a great business development opportunity to join a stable yet entrepreneurial company that has experienced phenomenal growth since its founding. This position will be responsible for developing new vehicle data partnerships and strengthening and growing existing partnerships in the public and private sectors in the United States and Canada.

 

Primary responsibilities of this role will include:

 Identify, contact, and negotiate agreements for access to public and private sector vehicle data.

 Develop strategies to identify new data partnerships.

 Negotiate contract terms that protect and grow the products, financial interests, and resources of CARFAX.

 Develop and maintain key relationships with private and public sector data providers.

 Support the efforts of other CARFAX departments and work on cross-functional teams.

 Represent CARFAX at various events/conferences.

 

The ideal candidate will possess:

 A Bachelor?s Degree with 5-7 years of business development experience is preferred.

 Experience in handling objections and creating win-win situations while being persistent in achieving stated goals and objectives is required.

 Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver presentations, strategic documents, status reports, and correspondence in clear, concise, and persuasive writing is required.

 Proven ability to define and communicate objective measurements to support strategic and tactical goals, including documenting, tracking, and communicating the progress of assigned activities is required.

 Ability to travel as required by the position (up to 50%) is required.

 Auto industry knowledge is highly desirable.

 

CARFAX data is relied on by millions of buyers and sellers of used cars to make better decisions in the car buying and selling process.
