CAS Sales Account Manager - Americas & India

There is an immediate opening for a Sales Account Manager in the Americas Petrochemicals & Natural Gas sales organization within our CA&S SBU.  This position plays a key and integral role in UOP's selling a full range of catalysts and adsorbents into America?s Petrochemical and Natural Gas Market.  The incumbent will be assigned a portfolio of customers and will be accountable for managing customer relationships and delivering budgeted revenues and margin.  The position is ideal for candidates interested in pursuing a career in professional technical sales.



 

Accountabilities of this position include:

? Deliver budgeted revenue and gross margin

? Manage customer relationships and coverage

? Forecast product demand and revenue from assigned accounts 18 months into the future

? Lead opportunities through the entire sales cycle: Identify opportunity, clarify bid, develop sales strategy, enroll and aligning sales support, submit proposal, close the deal, work with COM, production planning and service to make, deliver and service the product.

? Provide adsorption designs, technical consultation and troubleshooting to customers.

? Support Marketing and Technology functions by providing market intelligence

? Report customer complaints

 

The successful candidate will meet the following requirements:

 

Basic Qualifications:



? BS degree in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry

? Over five years experience in the Petrochemical, Natural Gas or Refining industry is preferred but not required

 

Additional Qualifications:



? Coaching, mentoring and formal sales and technical training will be provided to develop knowledge and skills as needed.

? Ability to sell into a competitive market place by communicating the value delivered by UOP products and service to their business.

? Knowledge of the application of catalysts and adsorbents in petrochemical, natural gas and hydrocarbon processing applications is preferred but not required.

? A previous assignment in technical sales or sales support is preferred but not required

? Good listening and communication skills

? Work effectively with colleagues, sales support functions and across SBU?s

? Strong customer and business focus
