Donor Recruitment Supervisor

Job Summary

 

Supervises and coordinates the work of Recruitment staff to ensure achievement of annual collection goals and to assure effective and efficient donor group development, chair support, and implementation of recruitment strategies.  Assists Donor Services Manager in analysis of operational data, developing overall recruitment strategies for the region, implementing action plans through supervised staff and training personnel.

 

Performs all duties and responsibilities in compliance with standard operating procedures, regulations outlined in the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) and other applicable Federal, state and local laws.

 

 

Major Responsibilities

 

1. Ensures annual region bloodmobile/special collection calendar is developed and maintained to meet the needs of the region and the budgeted collection goal.

 

2. Develops and implements training programs for all new and incumbent recruitment staff to ensure compliance with ARCBS directives, the Code of Federal Regulations, local procedures and policies and other regulatory requirements.

 

3. Oversees the implementation of recruitment plans and programs among assigned staff to ensure achievement of recruitment goals.

4. Supervises assigned staff in accordance with personnel policies and bargaining unit contracts, including performance evaluations, disciplinary actions and appropriate input into hiring and firing decisions, to enhance the success of operations and minimize turnover.

 

5. Assists Donor Services Manager with budget monitoring to assure sufficiency and efficient utilization of financial resources to achieve stated collection goals.

 

6. Serves as creative and operational resource to recruitment staff and to participating chapter staff and volunteers as needed to assure smooth operations.

 

7. Performs other related duties as necessary.

 

 

Scope

 

Minimal day-to-day supervision and coordination.

 

Plans own work and sets priorities within guidelines.  Actions and decisions based on precedent, organizational need and good judgement. 

 

Supervisory responsibility for multiple regional staff.

 

Responsible for operating within established recruitment cost center(s) budget constraints and has input into budgetary development.

 

Responsible for achievement of annual recruitment goals.

 

 

Qualifications

 

n Bachelor's degree in marketing, sales, communications or related field, or equivalent

n Three to five years progressively responsible sales experience

n Prior direct supervisory experience preferred

n Knowledge of group dynamics, direct sales, customer maintenance techniques, negotiation skills, and ability to effectively implement programs

n Ability to handle multiple priorities effectively, assimilate information quickly, analyze problems and recommend appropriate solutions

n Excellent written and oral communication skills, including training and presentation skills.

n Current valid driver's license and good driving record
