Finance Manager, Sales - Thomson Elite (CA)

DESCRIPTION

 

Thomson Elite, the world?s leading provider of integrated practice, financial and knowledge management systems for law firms and professional services providers, is seeking an experienced, highly-motivated finance professional to be based in our Los Angeles office. 

 

PRIMARY OBJECTIVES: 

 

The primary objective of the Finance Manager is to provide dedicated finance support to the sales organization. The Finance Manager will be the primary contact for all for the sales leaders regarding all financial issues and concerns.

 

MAJOR AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:

 

1. Provides guidance and proactive assistance in developing tools for evaluating and reporting key performance indicators within the sales organization. Responsible for compensation modeling and analysis, for several channels and plans.   Responsible for preparing division, segment, media and channel new sales targets for discussion and review with leaders across sales and the organization. Responsible for developing detailed sales forecasts as part of the annual planning, mid-year review, and monthly close processes.Responsible for report development to communicate sales performance to senior management. Other projects and duties as assigned.

The chosen candidate for this position will have the ability to:Evaluate strategies in fast-paced, competitive and global markets. Supply discerning opinions on business decisions. Critically evaluate and communicate financial information and recommendations to senior management. Improve work processes and provide innovative systems solutions. Develop detailed revenue reporting and tracking processes.
QualificationsBA in either Finance or Accounting: strong preference for MBA or CPA with a minimum of 6 to 8 years of progressive experience in a financial analysis position Strong experience in financial analysis, forecasting and management reporting. Strong influence skills with the ability to negotiate and push back with leaders across the business. Highly motivated and able to work independently with proven project management skills and proficiency in managing multiple responsibilities Demonstrated leadership experience of direct and cross-functional teams environment with competing demands for limited resources. Demonstrated ability to effectively present complex financial information to Senior Management.
