Inside Business Development Manager
Origen Financial, Inc. (Origen) is an internally managed and internally advised company that has elected to be taxed as a real estate investment trust (REIT). Origen is a national consumer manufactured home lender and servicer that offers a complete line of home-only products, land-home conforming and non-conforming products, and servicing for manufactured home-only and land-home loans. Origen through its predecessors has been originating loans since 1996. In May 2004, Origen announced its initial public offering and is listed on the NASDAQ under ORGN. Origen is headquartered in Southfield, Michigan, with significant operations in Fort Worth, Texas.
Origen is seeking an Inside BDM responsible for generating loan volume in designated state territories, and in assigned accounts located in areas not easily serviced by local BDMs. Essential responsibilities include but are not limited to:
? Working with sources (dealers and brokers) to increase the quantity of deals and value of deals funded through Origen
? Actively look to increase account base by signing qualified sources
? Enhance loan relationships through sales of additional products and services (Equity Accelerator, Recovery Rewards, Origen Insurance, etc.)
? Perform responsibilities in accordance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.
Minimum qualifications include a High School Diploma, Bachelor's Degree is preferred, plus 2-3 years of significant experience in business-to-business sales, preferably in a financial services capacity. Jobholder must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office and the ability to learn in-house programs, draw implications from territory reporting (i.e., How is the business doing?), communicate professionally - both verbally and written, understand concepts associated with lending including amortization schedules, interest, etc., and creatively problem-solve.
