 POSITION TITLE: Key Account Manager

DEPARTMENT: Sales and Marketing REPORTS TO:  Director of Sales & Marketing DIRECT REPORTS:  None    EFF DATE:  7-10-06

 BASIC FUNCTION

The Key Account Manager will be responsible for achieving sales goals and managing the client relationships with key accounts in the Fire Service industry.  The Key Account manager will manage all aspects of the client relationship and continually work to expand and strengthen the client relationship.  The Key Account Manager will also be instrumental in providing market information to guide the company?s fire service market strategy.

 

 

DUTIES/ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS      

?  Develop strategic plan to drive & grow revenues from key Fire Service customers through increased sales of legacy products and by identify new product design opportunities. 

?  Utilize consultative sales techniques to strengthen and expand relationships with all levels of the client organization to create client loyalty and guarantee future revenue streams.  Maintain a high level of awareness of the client?s business needs;, understanding documenting their market drivers where they see their company growing, what is important in their business and who the key decision makers are.

?  Work with internal Project Managers and technical staff to identify and develop recommendations and solutions. Lead the presentation team once those are identified.

?  Prepare and present quotes and proposals and facilitate negotiations to close sale.

?  Conduct on-going follow-up meetings to develop new opportunities, communicate new technologies/features and to build professional relationships.

?  Foster teamwork through regular open communications; problem solving with engineering, production and office personnel of Audiopack.

 MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

?  Bachelor Degree in Sales or Marketing and/or equivalent education/experience

?  5+ years consultative, field sales experience with successful track record

?  Understanding of new product development process for technical products

?  Good business judgment and decision making abilities

?  Strong PC/Computer Knowledge

?  Ability to travel 50 - 70%,
