Key Account Manager in Beverage or Food Industry

RESPONSIBILITIES:   -   Secure and target key influencer accounts, i.e. corporate cafeterias/food service, regional chains, gyms/fitness centers/spas, colleges/high schools, natural food stores, hotels and gourmet specialty stores.

- Work closely with distributors and new business managers to secure placement in current and new accounts.

- Lead initiative to increase penetration at grade schools, high schools and universities.

- Research influencer accounts through local and trade publications.

- Follow-up with product re-orders.

- Communicate with your distributors and distributor reps on corporate initiatives.

- Communicate with district managers of national chains for regional activity.

- Ensure proper paperwork is processed (credit, references, etc).

- Ensure product placement/obtain eye level spacing and expand to other locations.

- Provide merchandising material options (visi cooler, ice barrel, glide rack, etc).

- Up sell to increase product presence.

- Work with area marketing manager to open new accounts around event areas.

- Assist and support the development of other key markets in Illinois, Indiana and Wisconsin.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

 

- Bachelor?s Degree.

- Background in beverage, DSD systems preferred.

- Commitment to success.

- Excellent communication and follow-up skills.

- Motivation and perseverance to succeed.

- Must be familiar with market make-up including retail and food service accounts.
