Logistics Coordinator

DESCRIPTION

Locate and secure qualified carriers and equipment to handle shipments tendered to us by our customers. Contact carriers and/or draymen to ensure customers pick-up and delivery requirements. Monitor shipments in transit and intervene with the carriers as needed to ensure customer requirements are met. Quote rates to customers and advise sales staff on rates as needed. Coordinate and prepare proper billing for the accounting department. Resolve operational problems for customers or carriers. Provide operational support for accounting and administrative staff in resolving billing and administrative problems. Solicit and properly qualify new carriers to handle shipments for Twin Modal. Prepare any reports as directed. Maintain current and accurate data on carriers and customers in the computer system.

REQUIREMENTS

Assist Accounting Department regarding invoice and claim information. Work in coordination with other division Logistics Coordinators. Administrative support. Sales staff from all divisions.
