MANAGER, SALES & MARKET DEVELOPMENT

We?ve got an EXCITING opportunity to join a global company, with a small company feel as a Manager, Sales and Market Development in the Automotive industry.

 

This position is responsible for developing the market and managing the Company's sales and profitability of software, instrumentation and service products throughout the automotive supply chain.

 

Responsibilities include creating demand for a product and concept that is currently not used in the US, launching the product /service offering, managing sales and participating in committees and regional trade shows.

The ideal candidate will have 5 plus years of market development and sales experience in long cycle salesKnowledge of and contacts in the automotive design centers and / or in the major automotive interior suppliers Knowledge of or exposure to color specification, management and communication in paint or plastics or textiles Ability to learn software systemsAbility and mentality to work in an unstructured environment and reporting to a non local supervisor 40% domestic and international overnight travel may be requiredKnowledge of Siebel and/or any other enterprise CRM system is a plusA Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent experience
A Detroit area home office is required.  No relocation provided at this time.
