We have a great opportunity for someone with at least five years demonstrated successful business development and leadership experience in the Environmental Services industry.



This take charge individual will be responsible for the growth and development of our new Commercial Services Division in Metropolitan Chicago. Sales presentations, contract negotiation, cost analysis, budget oversight, and staff training and supervision will be some of this individual's responsibilities.



The Environmental Services Manager's other essential duties include the following:

Identifies new business partnership opportunities. Performs cost analysis to determine prospects for growth and success. Locates or proposes potential business deals by contacting potential partners; discovering and exploring opportunities. Maintains positive relationships with existing business partners. Develops negotiating strategies and positions by studying integration of new venture with company strategies and operations; examining risks and potentials; estimating partners' needs and goals. Completes sales presentations, provides sales quotes, negotiates contracts and closes the deal. Directs the day to day operations of the Environmental Services Department. Supervises the environmental services crew, ensuring clients receive superior service. Develops and maintains efficient environmental services cleaning schedules for all customers.Coordinates and schedules labor distribution, equipment and supplies in order to maintain assigned contracted locations. Maintains and regularly services equipment. Manages the operation within budgeted expense levels. Ensures financial targets are met are exceeded. Develops the environmental Services training program, including training and employee supervision with assistance from crew leaders.



Successful candidates will have the following experience and education: Five or more years leadership and business development experience in the Environmental Service industry. Three or more years of supervisory experience in the Environmental Service industry. Bachelor's degree in business or a related field. Master's degree is preferred. Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record. Some experience using Microsoft office products.



Successful candidates will have the following skills: Knowledge of procurement procedures and service costing. Knowledge of methods, chemicals and techniques involved in the performance of custodial services Knowledge of sales and marketing techniques and proven negotiation, presentation and communication skills. Understanding of financial management. Exceptional sales and marketing skills. Excellent written and verbal skills. Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with key customers and partners. Knowledge of safety hazards and the ability to maintain safe work practices. Understanding of Goodwill's mission and the ability to motivate and coach people with barriers to achieve optimal performance.
