Merchandising, Sales and Marketing TRAINEE

Manufacturer, importer / exporter, and distributor of a variety of sewn consumer goods with specialized divisions in Infant Accessories and high-end Jewelry Packaging is seeking a Merchandising, Sales and Marketing TRAINEE at our New Orleans, Louisiana?facility.

We are looking for a dynamic sales and marketing person, with strong communication skills, to learn to work in a global environment. Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, tracking business indicators, preparation of key presentations for customers, assisting to develop and implement marketing strategies, attending trade shows, planning and forecasting, leading Regional Sales Representatives, and taking on the responsibilities potentially leading to a position as National Sales Manager or Marketing Vice President. This is a very hands-on position, requiring excellent analytical skills.

To qualify for this position, must possess a BS degree preferably in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field. Must have strong communication and analytical skills to identify issues, provide alternatives, and communicate solutions, and have either experience or a desire and inclination to learn the fabric and design industry within our related product fields.

We are seeking a person with a dynamic personality, with excellent people skills, a team leader, excellent written and verbal communications skills, multiple languages a plus. Personality traits should include strong organizational skills, being profit oriented, leadership qualities, ability to manage projects and deadlines, someone with a high energy level and a creative thinker.

Excellent position for someone looking for a challenging job in a very busy office, with a fast growing, well established company. Must be willing to travel and work?trade shows several times a year as well as learn to call on major retailers from time to time as needed to make presentations.??

Position is available to start immediately, and is full time, Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Salary negotiable. Insurance for employee and 401K available.

Our office and factory is located in the Bywater section of New Orleans, Louisiana?close to Franklin Avenue and one block from the Mississippi River.
