Activity at Location: Terex Roadbuilding, located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, is a leading innovator, designer and manufacturer of mobile equipment and material processing plants for both Hot Mix Asphalt and Portland Cement Concrete paving projects. The company markets its products under such familiar industry brand names as Bid-Well, Load King, Cedarapids, CMI, Trashmaster and Johnson/Ross.

MAJOR TASKS: In accordance with the goals, policies, and procedures the Terex National Account Sales Representative is responsible and accountable for the following essential functions and other duties as directed that correspond to the overall function of this position.
? Maintain a thorough commercial and technical knowledge of Terex Trashmaster products to include, applicability, possible modifications to meet customer needs in solving their equipment problems, finance resources, and manufacturing processes. Continually update personal knowledge of new products, new concepts, product enhancements, and how they may apply to existing or new markets. Develop and maintain a complete understanding of competitive products and incorporate this information into sales presentations where and when applicable.
? Travel 60% of the time to national account regional and corporate locations, primarily by plane, and maintain direct contact with and educate existing and potential Terex Trashmaster customers on the complete manufactured product line e.g. features, benefits, options, competition, etc., analyzing customer equipment needs and job conditions while promoting interest in Terex Trashmaster products. Anticipate the customers? needs and make suggestion ahead of the actual need, suggesting more productive machines. Treat all communications with customers with utmost confidentiality. Train and assist Terex Trashmaster dealers, where applicable, to complete an order with all vital specifications, prices, options, special requirements, etc. Maintain a consistent flow of new ideas, especially for cost cutting and improving sales techniques.
? Execute sales of Terex Trashmaster manufactured products by developing estimate sheets and transforming then into formal quotes. Advise Terex Trashmaster management of any assistance or tools needed to close a deal. Produce or facilitate production of sales order contracts and sales order checklists required to process the order. Process required reports and photographs to facilitate used equipment trades or sales and responsibility of used equipment sales. Coordinate and assist in customer visits to the factory as necessary.
? After the sale, ensure goods and services are delivered on time to the customer and assist Terex Trashmaster Service and Warranty departments, as necessary. Follow-up with customers and immediately become tactically involved when there is a problem to insure resolution to the customer?s satisfaction. Track persistent problems and intercede with appropriate departments, inform customer of faulty operation and maintenance practices by the customer?s personnel, or advise Terex Trashmaster management of assistance needed in resolving persistent product or customer issues.
? Communicate on a daily bases to the Oklahoma City office providing; weekly itinerary and updated as changes occur; daily customer contact with respective equipment interest; where applicable, dealer contact; and nightly in-depth telephone report to the Oklahoma City office. Plan and maintain travel schedule and mode of transportation congruent with job requirements and ensure that expenses are controlled commensurate with responsibilities.
? Maintain all required written reports to include; customer sales contact reports, monthly review reports, expense reports, etc. Provide a monthly, quarterly, ad yearly forecast; updated the first of every month. Report all lost sales and competitive activity in assigned territory. Submit quarterly evaluation/summary of accounts to include: lost sales and why, position in marketplace, competition profiles to include; who-what-where & how, dealer evaluation where applicable and suggested changes, product evaluation and recommendations; overview of problems and needed changes. Assist in collecting competitive intelligence, prices, quotes, specifications, etc.
? Maintain personal demeanor and work areas in a safe, clean, and professional manner. Detect and report improperly operating equipment. Assist new employees of the corporation with orientation to their position, learning key support systems, policies, procedures, and personnel.
Safety
? Knowledgeable of general safety requirements and adhere to safety procedures; protective safety equipment may be required.
EDUCATION: Must have a broad knowledge of a general technical field equivalent to a college or university degree (i.e. engineering, business, marketing, etc.).
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, and KNOWLEDGE: Between 10 years? prior related successful experience in the marketing and sale of heavy equipment similar in scope to products manufactured by Terex
SKILLS JOB REQUIREMENTS: The following skills are required to perform the essential function of this job: COMPUTER input/retrieve information, excel, power point, telephone, 10-key, copier, printer, all standard department office equipment; negotiating skills ability to show value in the areas of unit benefits, service, and knowledge; judgment, interpersonal, math, reading, and writing.

COMPLEXITY OF DUTIES: Must be able to use considerable independent judgment to plan and make broad decisions to perform duties; must be able to make decisions from related policies and procedures without specific guidelines to follow; must be able to devise new methods or adapt and modify existing methods to meet job requirements while working within established policies. Involves a wide variety of duties and general knowledge of related company policies/procedures and their application to cases not previously covered.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Work under general direction only, within general policies and objectives with no functional guidance; refer problems for clarification and interpretation of company policy only.
RESPONSIBILITY FOR ACCURACY: Errors involve major expense (i.e. loss of important customer account, equipment, materials, products): work may involve recommendations to management on which management bases important decisions (i.e. manufacturing planning and preparation, etc.).
MENTAL AND VISUAL DEMAND: Requires normal mental and visual attention much or all of the time.
CONFIDENTIAL DATA: Full and complete access to information that, if disclosed, would be serious and highly detrimental to company?s competitive position; utmost integrity and confidentiality required.
CONTACT WITH OTHERS: Internal or external contact required to influence people in all types of positions at all levels; requires a high degree of tact and diplomacy.
RESPONSIBILITY FOR SAFETY: Requires reasonable care to prevent injury to self and others; protective equipment required.
WORKING CONDITIONS: Good working conditions; occasional exposure to some elements that make it less desirable than office conditions but not disagreeable. Must be knowledgeable of and adhere to safety policies and procedures to prevent injury, disability, and/or death. Frequent overnight travel is required.
