Non Prime Retail Loan Officer - Salt Lake City, UT

The subprime Retail Account Executives primary responsibility is to cultivate and retrieve prime channel leads that are not able to be funded as prime loans.  It is the responsibility of the Subprime AE to convert these leads into subprime loans.  AE’s are also required to cultivate other sources of business from Credit Unions, small banks, collection agencies, etc. Sources include, but are not limited to, Realtors, builders and other networking avenues.  In this role incumbent will take complete applications for mortgage loans, which includes inquiries into the customer’s income, assets, credit history, prior bankruptcies, judgments, liens and characteristics of the property. AE’s will also be responsible for following up on documentation required for processing in accordance with corporate policies and procedures. The AE advises the customer regarding the advantages and disadvantages of different products and based on the customer’s employment, the AE advises the customer what documentation is needed to support their income.  In addition, incumbent will fulfill pre-doc and funding loan conditions in conjunction with the assigned Account Manager, develop business network resources for loan referrals, keep all parties informed as to status of application, set the Customers' /referral  sources’ expectations and educate them on the entire mortgage origination process.  Will follow through and follow up to ensure the loan moves efficiently through processing, underwriting and finally, funding.  Incumbent will provide a high level of customer service not only to the borrowers, but also to referrals sources.  The Account Executive will be expected to meet minimum production standards based upon branch minimum production standards.  AE will comply with all Chase corporate guidelines, Federal and State compliance policies and adhere to all HMDA requirements. 



 
Knowledge of mortgage banking and real estate market
Minimum of one year of B/C sales experience
Minimum of three years experience in a real estate or lending origination 
Strong sales and oral skills
Good interpersonal skills
PC knowledge a plus
