NonPrime Retail Producing Sales Manager - Weslaco, TX

As a sales manager, you will solicit mortgage loans from referral sources, including but not limited to realtors, builders, and other networking avenues, take complete, thoroughly documented applications, quote rates and ensure loan is properly locked, keep all parties to the mortgage transaction informed as to the status of the application, and set customers' / sources expectations and educate them on the entire mortgage origination process. In addition, you will recruit and retain productive loan officers, train all new loan officers and all seasoned loan officers on new products and programs, and conduct sales / staff meetings. Ensure your sales staff has received written production goals and at least one written performance review in each 12-month cycle. You will maintain acceptable levels of branch profitability, loan production per loan officer, acceptable HMDA exception rates, and customer satisfaction level. Also, you will meet fair lending goals by achieving parity in local markets and administer, apply and enforce Federal and State compliance policies, as well as JPMorgan Chase policies and procedures.


Minimum of five years mortgage lending or mortgage banking experience
College degree or equivalent
Sales and consulting skills required
Prior supervisor/ manager experience preferred
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Strong knowledge of real estate market in local area
Knowledge of FHA, VA, FNMA, FHLMC guideline
PC skills
Typing skills
Recruiting skills a plus
