Responsible for building and maintaining territory advertising revenue, and when possible exceeding goals through creative and strategic selling. Work with existing and potential clients to determine their marketing/business needs and formulate a media ad sales solution. Establish in person relationships with clients by conducting high volume of face to face calls.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of developing a sales pipeline and be motivated to win by attaining established revenue goals for the region through innovative selling. Candidates must have strong oral and written communication skills. Attend industry trade shows and local events to meet clients and develop contacts.
Successful candidates will also demonstrate a willingness to take charge and work to achieve results, despite obstacles. They will set and own territory sales agenda including: prioritizing and organizing sales calls for maximum revenue potential while managing to business profit metrics. Candidates will also set agenda for and facilitate weekly territory sales meetings. Proactively communicate account and sales information to both sales management and others on the sales and support teams.

The Regional Manager will conduct a regular analysis of territory including accurate revenue forecasts and complete regular call reports to update sales management on account activity. responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Attain established revenue goals through innovative and strategic selling Generates sales leads through personal networks and ?cold calling? Presents, negotiates and sells DRIVE?s products to prospective agency and direct clients, typically pitching to executives, media planners and marketing managers Develop account and territory strategies for long term development and revenue growth Establishes, develops and maintains business and social relationships with current and potential clients. Secure strategic level relationships with senior client contacts within the account list or territory region Frequent and regular account status updates through written call reports and verbal communication Accurate and timely communication to manager of all relevant information regarding revenue and or advertiser relationships Take strategic lead to prioritize and ensure proper account management both internally and externally Participates in promotional events such as trade shows and seminars. Crafts responses to RFPs, proposals and contracts. Works with other members of the DRIVE organization to anticipate and respond to a variety of business needs.
Qualifications/Experience: Ideal candidates will understand how technology has impacting the media marketplace and the business model and practice of many companies. They will demonstrate an ability to think creatively, sell strategically, and communicate efficiently internally and externally. They will have a strong desire to win, and to continually develop their personal and professional skills. They will have strong computer skills, plus outstanding verbal and written communication skills. They will be able to manage stress well, and juggle multiple account challenges at once.
BA or equivalent experience required Internet and/or traditional marketing experience preferred. Previous familiarity with Atlas or DART essential. Knowledge of segmentation and targeting schemes a strong plus. Strong entrepreneurial attitude or experience with previous start-ups. Candidates must be able to describe situations in which he/she has: Prospected and/or uncovered new sales opportunities in target accounts Demonstrated exceptional skill at managing and developing relationships with multiple high-value accounts (>$500K/Year) A successful record of calling on senior business and technical executives (VP and above) Candidates must be able to demonstrate excellence in: Presenting complicated ideas effectively Communicating both orally and through the written word Client Service Working in, contributing to and facilitating a team environment The applicant must have a strong background in internet marketing, client/campaign strategy, media planning. sales or account management Experience in customer service driven organizations. A solid understanding of click-through metrics, targeting, response rates, banner advertising and a familiarity with web architecture. Word processing / PowerPoint Spreadsheet manipulation Basic statistical analysis
