SALES & SERVICE ENGINEER (AMMONIA)

Requires experience in an ammonia, hydrogen, or methanol plant.  Will consider an experienced process engineer in an ammonia, hydrogen, or methanol plant as long as the candidate has sales aptitude.  Must have BS degree in Chemical Engineering.  Prefer 3 to 5 years experience.  Familiarity with catalytic operations would be beneficial.  Position is located in Houston.  Must have strong communication skills, both written and verbal.  Requires travel domestically of approximately 25% to 30%. 

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

 Responsible for catalyst sales and providing technical service for customers in designated sales territory (not necessarily geographically based). Responsible for technology sales starting with initial contact and progressing through contract execution.  The sales process includes catalysts and technologies. Responsible for the development and maintenance of professional relationships with customers and potential customers.  Must have ability to work independently and be self-motivated.  Will be required to establish customer visit schedule, prepare for visits, conduct visits, and provide follow up with minimum supervision. Provide technical support for loadings, startups, and subsequent operation of catalysts. Minor administrative tasks including sales orders, coordination with the Traffic Department, providing budget information and maintenance of customer database. Other duties as assigned.
