SBEE Energy Auditor

Responsibilities

 

Perform marketing activities of the Small Business Energy Edge Program under the supervision of the Project Operations Manager. Coordinates with the Project Assistant and Project Operations Manager to provide support with conducting field activities. Produce activity reports and assist in the preparation of final study report.

 

Under general oversight of the Project Operations Manager, conduct a facility energy analysis and recommend installation of cost-effective energy savings measures in 300 nonresidential buildings. The package of measures to be installed may include: Refrigeration, HVAC, Food Service, Lighting and Pumps and Motors. May assist in compiling monthly energy savings reports using the database and working with the Project Operations Manager.

 

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

 

1.  Oversee scheduling of client visits by administrative staff.

2.  Enroll and assist Customers with the financing of measures.

3. Analyze energy audit information gathered from the field and develop individualized energy savings plan for each client.

4.  Ensure that installation of measures is completed to all program standards and in a timely and efficient manner.

5.  Complete Project Completion records and return to financing partner.

6. Ensure timely and accurate reporting of field activities to the Program Manager.

7. Respond and resolve customer service concerns.

8. Assist Sub-Contractors to ensure completion of the Installation of measures.

 



OTHER PRIMARY FUNCTIONS



 

1. Use of computer to analyze data in Excel and Access, perform word processing with MS Word.

2. Travel for on-site visits to perform marketing and quality assurance activities.

3. Provide feedback on Sub-Contractors performance for evaluation process.

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

 

1. Minimum 60 units of college or minimum 5 years overall experience with increasing responsibility.

2. Minimum two years experience working with Energy Efficiency Programs for non-residential buildings, previous experience performing energy audits on non-residential building preferred.  

3. Certified Energy Auditor or ability to be certified preferred.

4.  Commercial lighting installation experience preferred.

5.  Knowledge of air conditioning, food service, refrigeration, pumps and motors preferred.

6. Minimum of two years business to business sales experience preferred.

7. Advanced knowledge of MS Word and Excel required. Access knowledge preferred.

8. Excellent written and oral communication skills with experience in preparation of project reports. 

9. Organized with attention to detail and ability to maintain records and documentation.

10. Excellent follow-through skills and ability to work independently with a minimum of supervision.

11. Ability to work under pressure.

12. Ability to work in a team environment.

13. Have a reliable vehicle for travel with proper licensing and insurance and ability to stay overnight.

14. Ability to lift up to 30lbs., climb ladders to roof and use hand tools.
