Position Summary
Maintains the Sales Department business plan and marketing strategies to drive membership sales and ancillary revenue. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination and supervision of the Membership Advisors to produce the desired results. Provides leadership for the department in the fulfillment of Life Time Fitness' mission statement.
Examples of Work Performed
1. Works directly with Membership Advisors to monitor sales and develop sales and promotion techniques to ensure the club meets financial goals
2. Provides customer service to club members by assisting with accounts, memberships, and answering questions
3. Resolves customer problems and issues
4. Serves as a liaison to the Personal Trainer Department to ensure that members are satisfied with the programs
5. Utilizes the cleaning checklist to ensure club cleanliness at all times
6. Increases knowledge of Lifetime's products, services, polices and procedures on an ongoing basis
7. Provides budget information to General Manager
8. Completes employee paperwork, payroll, and staff scheduling in a timely manner
9. Trains, develops, and assesses team members to ensure continuous growth through orientations, direction, and feedback
10. Recruits, interviews, and trains new team members
11. Makes hiring recommendations subject to the approval of the General Manager
12. Provides effective performance evaluations and employee recognition programs / awards
13. Coaches and counsels employees as needed
14. Makes recommendations on promotions and terminations of employees; takes appropriate disciplinary action subject to the review and approval of the General Manager
15. Supervises assigned staff
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
High School diploma or GED
College coursework or undergraduate degree preferred
Experience:
One year of sales experience
One year of supervisory experience
