Sales Support Representative

This position is responsible for maintaining and developing business at target North American and global OEM customers. Position interfaces very closely with OEM Regional Sales Managers and works directly with customers, distributors, sales and marketing, and other Bussmann teams as required.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES:
?Identifies and develops new business opportunities by interviewing key purchasing, engineering, and other contacts at target OEM accounts, developing a close relationship, identifying and overcoming potential barriers, progressing the opportunity through the sales funnel to closure.
?Coordinates quotes with the Field Sales Team, Sales Support Group, Product Managers, and RSMs. Includes follow-up quotes, cross references, and other pre-order documents, asking for the order.
?Analyzes sales history, POS, and other reports for market intelligence
?Exercise independent judgment on order to make decisions on establishing pricing levels with marketing and product managers and sample requests.
?Coordinates with Applications, Engineering, Marketing, and Sales to identify solutions and product adaptations to meet customer?s needs.
?Coordinate with Customer Satisfaction after the purchase order has been placed, on activities such as return goods authorizations, replacement orders, expedites, invoicing, shortages, incorrect shipments, tracing shipments, etc

 

 REQUIREMENTS

The minimum requirements for this position are a college degree or 2-3 years inside sales experience. Candidates must have a high energy level, positive work ethic, and willingness to regularly go above and beyond the call to assist customers. Must be able to work with mainframe computer programs and desktop software, and have an in-depth knowledge of Excel. Must have the apptitude to understand and explain technical electrical concepts.

This position requires the exercise of independent judgment to make decisions on service and pricing levels with the involvement of Marketing and/or Product Managers. As a result, the candidate must be able to interact assertively with people at all levels of each organization he/she interfaces with. Some travel to distributors and vendors will be required.
