Software Sales Account Manager

Position Description

 

The successful Sales Account Manager will be responsible for consistent ongoing contact with our existing customer base. This person will be involved in proactively selling consulting services and software products to existing customers.  This person will work with sales department team members and professional services staff to assist our customers in evaluating Macabe services and products.  These products and services may include software maintenance renewals, annual system review services, additional application modules and upgrade services.  This person will also be the primary point person to manage customer issue resolution for their accounts.  This person actively uses our CRM system to maintain customer account information, opportunity identification and manage their daily activities.

 

Salary Range:  $50K to $70K Base in first year, depending on experience.

Significant opportunity for additional preformance-based compensation in 2nd year of employment and beyond.

 

Areas of focus:

 

Expands customer?s interests and identifies opportunities.   A Sales Account Manager is involved in substantial and frequent contact with customers to proactively identify opportunities as well as respond to inbound inquiries.  He/she develops and maintains relationships with key contacts within the customer organization and includes a significant understanding of a customers? business.  This role requires an understanding of general business practices in a variety of industries.  Accounting or finance experience is a plus.  Good listening and interpersonal skills are very important.

 

Customer advocacy is key. This person is customer centric and committed to monitoring and increasing customer satisfaction.  He/she is involved in coordination of internal resources to provide customer solutions, setting customer expectations appropriately and being the key point of contact for resolution of customer issues.

 

Product and service knowledge is broad and generalized.  This person is knowledgeable of a broad range of range of Sage products and Macabe services.  He/she works closely with Macabe professional service staff to identify and develop solutions to a wide variety of customer problems.  He/she is responsible for managing the customer evaluation process for all solutions presented to existing customers.  He/she is responsible ensuring all engagements (projects) are properly authorized and documented prior to initiation.  He/she is responsible for ensuring post engagement (project) feedback is sought and received from our customers upon completion.
