Territory Representative - Companion Animal - NY-Queens / Long Island

This Territory Representative will be responsible for providing customer solutions and selling companion animal products to assigned accounts within the Queens / Long Island, NY territory to meet sales objectives. The territory consists of approximately 350 companion animal practices and several large equine practices. You will plan sales calls using our Account Information Management system, select programs that motivate customers to buy our products and develop the Companion Animal business in the Queens / Long Island area. Overnight travel will be 5% of your sales itinerary.

Qualifications
The qualified candidate will have a Bachelor's degree and be a highly motivated, self-starter with a minimum of 2 years of sales experience. Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation and computer operation skills are required for this quality driven position. The ability to comprehend and explain scientific technical data, a strong desire to succeed and the ability to understand the Veterinary companion animal practice business model are requirements for this position. The ability to develop creative solutions to unique companion animal practice challenges is required. The ideal applicant will also have experience motivating and training distributor sales representatives. Medical/Scientific or Agriculture backgrounds a plus.
