Preferred location for this position is San Jose, CA or Bay Area; will consider Vancouver, WAor San Diego, CA with travel one day a week to San Jose, CA. 

 

Responsible for driving overall category growth, profitability, quota achievement and relationship management at a electronics retailer for assigned categories (desktops, notebooks).

Meet/exceed category quotas.

Develop overall category business plans (including promotions, sales targets, financial metrics, product placement strategy, budget, forecast, training) with the account.

Work closely with other members of the account team in other categories.

Understand supply chain management and actively participate in managing product supply and rollovers.

Negotiate win/win opportunities with the account that meet mutual business objectives.

Interface with multiple levels of management at the account.

your profile

Bachelor's (graduate) degree in business or technical field of study
At least 3 years' direct and channel sales experience in a high tech industry
Resilience, results orientation, and relationship building skills
Good team working and leadership skills
Fluency in English and local language

Experience in one or more of the following:
Retail channel sales
Above quota selling
Promotion of new HP sales opportunities
Product demonstrations, channel training
Participation in general strategy
Definition of specific sales plans
Working with external partners to deliver solution sales
