Job Summary
We are seeking candidates who have proven sales experience in consumer products, retail and sales.
Bring your high energy, ability to drive sales, sales quota experience and other successes in retail to hp.
Seeking candidates with experiences in retail settings such as grocery, packaged goods, home improvement, etc coupled with
the job specifics noted below.
The District Sales Manager (DSM) will be expected to develop strong relationships within each of HP's channel partners resulting in improved execution and incremental sales. The DSM will help motivate, coach&train an outsourced team to accomplish HP's revenue&share goals.
This position will be responsible for maximizing HP retail sell-through and the customer experience within an assigned geography.
This position requires frequent travel, up to 25% of the time within your assigned district, with a standard workweek of Tuesday — Saturday; some work on Sunday's based on market needs/seasonality.
Job Responsibilities include: Selling
?Meet or exceed shipment, sell-through and profit targets within assigned geography across all accounts
?Enhance HP brand image in the market through flawless execution.
?Drive mind, shelf and market-share within assigned geography
?Leverage accounts regional relationships to drive sales.
Market Business Planning&Optimization
?Align and execute HP's business objectives, seasonal plans, and strategies at the district level
?Leverage all tools/resources within district to beat competition&deliver "wow" customer experience
?Balance resources according to budgetary and market/competitive environment changes
?Analyze and create district business plan based on district sell-through&market-share information, competitive threats&business opportunities
?Understand industry and competitive environment
Store Execution
?Ensure 100% retail fundamental execution across assigned geography — merchandising, training, relationships&selling
?Sell-in additional displays, high impact reseller training/events, thwarting competitive programs, drive local sales contests, and relationships
?Drive accountability across all selling functions - outsourced reps (merchandise rep, training rep, sales event rep) through coaching and modeling
Customer Satisfaction
?External to resolve different customer problems and provide proactive conflict resolution at reseller/end-user level
?Provide escalation point to HP reseller/customer support teams and/or national account teams
?Internal to collaborate with internal sales account teams and group and segment marketing (two-way communication)
Collaborate cross-functionally within CSO and consumer organization
Hiring/Coach/Mentor
?Consult on outsourced staffing decisions
?Coach field reps on proper store execution
Training
?Accountable for planning of regional training activity
?Collaborate with internal/external resources to execute training delivery
?Develop a twice annual district training plan
Financial Management
?Responsible for sales volume, budgets, revenues, quotas and P&L responsibility

Bachelor's (undergraduate) degree in Business or Marketing or other non-technical degree or equivalent experience preferably in retail or consumer sales experience (7 years).
