Job Description: Partner Presales Storage Consultant

 

Position Summary: 

 

Provide focused technical expertise in storage solutions, services, and software that enables HP value-add resellers, distributors and integrators to deliver quality business solutions to end-user customers. Work cooperatively and cross-functionally with HP sales and technical teams in all business units to maximize revenue through all channels and across all product lines. Increase customer satisfaction by networking with product divisions to ensure quality of HP solutions.







 

Reports to:  West Region Partner Presales Manager

 

Key Responsibilities: 
Provides deep technical expertise for HP's Storage Product Family
Support key strategic opportunities in HP Channel in conjunction with assigned Sales and Peer Storage Resources
Leads pre-sales technical solution integration where appropriate
Capable of quickly switching between strategic and tactical sales engagement.
Has strong presentation and communication skills
Maintains strong storage Division linkages and serves as technical liason to product managers
Assgined to key partners within defined geographical region
Facilitate ongoing technical and emerging storage solutions knowledge transfer to HP Channel presales organizations
Act as storage technology consultant to HP Channel partners
Continually enhances product and associated solutions knowledge as new products are introduced
Providing beta support & engineering feedback of critical needs; provide competitive & enhancement feedback to HP Storage Division
Establish effective and cooperative relationships with HP direct and services teams
Works closely with the field account teams on identified and prioritized opportunities as dictated by the established sales plan

 

 




Bachelor's (undergraduate) degree or equivalent experience preferably in technical field
Deep technical knowledge of HP XP or Hitachi equivalent products

Excellent customer and communication and presentation skills
Strong sales & negotiation skills
Customer facing skills
Ability and willingness to motivate and support other consultants
Resilience and resourcefulness when solving complex problems
Ability to present proposals persuasively
Excellent team skills.
