Sales Management Career

We are an international corporate events company which has recently established it's first North American office located in Manhattan. This office has three distinct divisions the largest will be it's Sports Marketing division which provide's hospitality services for North American and European company's at the US Open, The PGA Championship, The Superbowl, All Star Baseball and the NCAA Final Four basketball tournement. The next division will create Executive Forums and Tradeshows in the Information Technology, Telecoms, Healthcare, Government, Finance, Pensions, Pharma, Benefits and Manufacturing sectors. The third division, Training and Consulting starting in 2007 provides bespoke training and consulting expertise and analysis for the Sales and Marketing Departments of mid sized corporations throughout the North East. During their first four months every new Trainee Sales Manager will receive intensive hands on sales and sales management training designed specifically to teach them how to negotiate and sell each of our six figure event solutions to CEO's, Presidents and VP's of Sales & Marketing worldwide. This will initially involve a combination of warm and cold calls via the phone which will gradually be replaced with more of an emphasis on account management. The successful candidates will be transitioned into a full Sales Managerial position being directly responsible for managing, developing and growing their own sales teams. There are still three immediate opportunities starting in late August and early September for individuals who have the following characteristics. You must have very strong communication skills, be extremely motivated, confidant,ambitious and competitive. You will have entrepreneurial, leadership and managerial ability yet have the willingness and capacity to continue to learn and improve. Direct sales experience particularly with a proven track record of closing and selling either face to face, or over the phone at the senior director level or above within mid sized or Fortune 1000 company's would be considered a real advantage. We offer the successful candidates first year OTE of between ($75,000 - $120,000+) comprised of an attractive base salary, uncapped commissions, very lucrative bonus's and a comprehensive health and benefit plan for individuals and families.
