Sales Manager Call Center Operations

Responsibilities: Provides day-to-day support and long-term direction to the outbound sales team. Incumbent also provides leadership to the entire service center in the areas of sales effectiveness, including compensation, training, scripting and operations. Provides leadership to employees who report to the position, including selection, performance management, employee development, work assignment and prioritization, oversight/supervision, salary administration and communications. Emphasis will be on developing and implementing successful outbound sales campaigns for outbound team and inbound/outbound blended staff. Develops a strong understanding of the direct response industry, including trends, new techniques and new strategies and how these factors can improve profitability.

Requirements:

College degree in business/finance or equivalent experience preferred. Previous management experience, preferably in the finance industry, is required, along with 5+ years previous customer service/sales experience. Proven ability to coach associates with specific and measurable objectives in areas such as sales effectiveness, quality and productivity. Successful track record working with sales organizations to achieve and exceed sales goals. Inspires others with drive and motivates to sell aggressively. Ability to develop effective sales strategies, techniques and tactics based on customer feedback and market
environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills. Knowledge and use of word processing, spreadsheet and database software (Word, Excel and Access preferred). Flexibility, attention to detail, and organizational skills. Excellent decision making/problem solving skills. Excellent analytical skills, including the ability to interpret financial and operational data. Experience in the areas of lead selection, lead management and direct marketing is highly desirable. Additional: Full-time Hours: Core hours Monday through Friday 8:00am-5:00pm; direct responsibility includes call center activity Monday through Friday 7:00am-8:30pm and Saturday 8:00am-5:00pm.
