Sales Support Engineer
CITY: Mission STATE: Missouri COUNTRY: USA Essential Functions (Responsibilities):
* Lead and manage the R-Process. Provide commercial leadership for Inquiry to Order (ITO) phase though "hand-over" to Order to Remittance (OTR) phase.
* Respond to customer quotation requests, review customer order requirements. Lead and drive the deal strategy development process in R1.
* Lead, manage and drive the risk assessment process throughout the R-Process.
* Coordinate, facilitate and drive required business reviews on exception basis throughout the R-Process.
* Ensure essential, necessary and timely coordination between the ITO, OTR and Commercial Support Functions.
* Transactional work activities include RFP/RFQ/ITT review, deal strategy/structure assessment, scope identification/verification, profitability analysis (cost estimation), proposal preparation and coordination, contract review and risk assessment, order booking, commercial support and risk assessment and mitigation throughout the R-Process.
* Support S1 and S2 development; deliver against plans.
* Work with regional sales and project managers to improve market & regional penetration by supporting regional sales force in creation of new opportunities and order closure.
* Capture and implement Global Commercial Operations best practices from across all of PII's six sales regions.
* Support digitization of GE O&G PII ITO processes including tool development.
* Travel as required to assist sales team on customer & site visits.
Qualifications/Requirements:
* Experience with GE and/or Non-GE commercial and technology segments, preference for experience in Geospatial Industry Segments (Photogrammetry, GIS, mobile implementation services and products).
* Demonstrated ability to drive and manage change across organizations.
* Demonstrated negotiating skills.
* Minimum of 5 years experience with sales/commercial transactions.
* Prior sales experience with international transactions and solid
knowledge of regional markets.
* Demonstrated ability to leverage GE network and work with internal & external customers.
* Excellent project/program management skills.
* Excellent communication & interpersonal skills.
* Excellent computer skills.
* Engineering degree or Business degree with strong commercial and technical aptitude
* Six Sigma Certified Green Belt (GE Employees only).

General:
The Geospatial (GS) Commercial Operations Sales Support Engineer, position provides high-level commercial and technical support services to both the sales and commercial operation functions of GS. This position provides commercial guidance and proposal support to the Geospatial business. Works with the GS sales and commercial operations team in the development of sales presentations, responses to bids, closing of sales opportunities and on-time handover of projects. May represent the GS organization at industry trade shows and conferences, both domestic and international.
