Job Description:  Americas Sales Region (ASR) Optical/IP Field Application Engineer

The FAE role concerns itself with executing the day-to-day activities associated with the following:

(1) On-site pre-sales technical support of test and measurement products, i.e. product demonstrations

(2) Post sales technical support of test and measurement products

(3) Training on products and technology to both internal and external customers

(4) Technical product collateral development in terms of application notes, white papers, etc.

 

Job Requirements:  Bachelor's degree in a technical area (BSEE or BSCS preferred)Test and Measurement Equipment experience a MUSTExperience supporting SBC, AT&T, Verizon, Sprint desiredSales experience desiredRF and Microwave and/or Wireless conformance/performance testing experience a plusExceptional written communication skills with ability to work independentlyStrong technology-oriented background, hardware/software development a plusExtensive knowledge of Ethernet, SONET/SDH, and TCP/IP technologiesHigh-speed physical layer experience with electrical backplanes and/or optical transportRelevant industry certifications such as CCIE, JNCIE, MCSE desirableStrong presentation skills with ability to tailor delivery to audience, including C-level executivesAbility to travel 50%, mostly domestic - some International
