Company Profile:

Our Client is a giant in the heavy machinery industry with a long, successful history dating back to 1920. They produce a vast range of industrial engines that power vehicles from large trucks to marine vessels. In addition, our client also specializes in turbo-chargers for a wide range of vehicles and fuel-powered electrical generators that can be seen powering mobile lights at a sports event or a construction site. At the moment, they are seeking a qualified Sales Representative for Turbochargers.

 

Duties and Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):Handle all turbocharger sales activities and be a liaison between the customers and our producing factory.Communicate all customers' requirements regarding pricing, performance, design, manufacturing and quality control to co-workers in Japan, Europe and domestic as appropriate.Communicate all engineering reports, data, and inquiries to customers.Seek new business and expand current business for turbochargers and turbocharger parts.Create customer and product strategy and tactics.Investigate the market prices and competitor's pricing for turbochargers.  Help set successful pricing for turbochargers and parts to expand sales and profits.Solve problems both internal and external relating to Sales Department and customers.Delegate tasks and distribute workload to staff.Study and learn technical background about turbochargers, boosted engines, and related technical information for successful handling of this position.Perform liaison activities necessary to advise the company with project requirements and resolve pricing and engineering problems.Negotiate commercial solutions and when necessary engineering solutions with customers.Maintain a list of active/open customer issues and keep the company informed as to current status of all projects.Perform market research to locate and identify potential new business.Promote sales of products through meetings and presentations.Attend and present/participate in customer meetings to promote or further business and engineering issues at customers.Prepare reports, maintain records, and organize files and references of information concerning the company's turbochargers and customer's activities and engine information.Keep abreast of and well informed on new developments pertinent to the engineering field as they relate to the company's products.Travel domestically and internationally to customers and manufacturing sites.Support co-workers activities as needed.Stay abreast with new developments for boosted gasoline and diesel engines and vehicles as well as competitors' activities and new products.Forecast future turbocharger sales and set sales targets for the Turbocharger Department.Monitor and follow approved budgets, policies and procedures for the Turbocharger Sales Department.Review activities and results of staff.Prepare reports as required by managementMaintain good working harmony in the Turbocharger Department.

Requirements:Bachelors in Marketing, Management or business-related major, but knowledge and experience will outweigh education.Prior sales experience preferred.At least 1 year experience in the turbocharger industry.



Benefits:Two weeks vacation after one year but the company allows the employee to take one week after six months.401K -- the employee is eligible after one year of service.  The company matches 50% on each dollar contributed by the employee up to 6% of what the employee puts in. Six sick days after the 90 day probationary period.Each employee gets two personal days after one year service.The company provides health insurance, dental insurance, life & accidental death and dismemberment insurance, short term and long term disability. At present all insurance premiums are paid by the company.
