APC Field Channel Sales Rep

Marketstar currently has an opportunity available in the Phoenix area for a Field Channel Sales Representative. We are seeking a dynamic, motivated and highly energetic individual to represent a leading IT manufacturer with an existing and growing partner base.


As a Field Channel Sales Representative, you will represent a leading IT manufacturer of power management architecture in the Partner Channels. Duties will include: Identify new partners, train and educate partners, and detect new opportunities that will be passed on to the appropriate resource inside the manufacturer?s organization so that they can drive the opportunity to close. One of your key measurements will be the quality of the opportunities and the closure rate of the opportunities you identify.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
? Identify the right partners who are willing to adopt and drive the clients product
? Educate the appropriate people within the partner?s organization, both at the executive/ownership level as well as in the sales and technical departments
? Detect opportunities that fit the targeted market segment, successfully transition those opportunities to the appropriate resource within the client?s sales organization and follow those opportunities to closure
? Become a consultant to Partners in power protection market opportunities
? Discuss market potential and solutions specifically targeted at power protection
? Show the partners the appropriate sales and marketing tools that would help them succeed in this market
? Monitor their progress and provide assistance as needed
? Provide on-site product demonstrations
? Co-host training session like seminars, breakfast clubs, lunch and learns, etc.
? Reports on Activities
? Report market information regarding competitors' efforts in the channel, sales inhibitors, and successes you are having in the field

REQUIREMENTS:
? College degree or equivalent experience
? Minimum of one to two years, in a direct sales role, or in a reseller trainer role, is required
? Preference given to those with knowledge and understanding of the Electrical Contractor market
? Excellent presentation and verbal communication skills are required
? Candidates must have the ability to motivate and influence partners to incorporate new products into their solutions
? Able to learn quickly
? Self-reliant, Self-motivated, Self-managed, adaptable, decisive and professional
? Team player
? Results oriented
? Able to travel within the specified territory
? Willing to travel overnight as needed
? Must have Internet connection in your home
