Purpose:
The Account Executive plays an instrumental role in closing client sales and satisfying clients. The AE coordinates all aspects of sales for unassigned accounts in order to meet or exceed established office revenue goals. They are responsible for actively prospecting within the unassigned account segment, and identifying developing accounts. They are expected to identify, develop, expand and manage these designated accounts to maximize revenues and increase overall business opportunities. They are expected to have a thorough understanding of Corbis? collection of imagery, motion footage, rights services and assignment in order to best meet and service client needs.
Responsibilities: Sales Execution
* Meet or exceed established revenue goals by maintaining high closing ratios and maximum pricing in conjunction with client image licensing requests.
* Maximize sales via prompt and courteous response to client licensing inquiries and requests for pricing, as well as high-quality assistance with client online transactions and research requests.
* Proactively target and reach out to high-potential clients to increase existing image licensing volume.
* Identify new client opportunities, develop new prospective customer lists, and make regular cold calls from prospect lists to introduce Corbis in order to establish new customer accounts and renew lapsed accounts.
* Develop comprehensive understanding of new products and services ? including Motion, Rights and Assignment Services ? in order to introduce and effectively communicate the full scope of these services to existing and new accounts.
* Maintain up to date knowledge and fluency in all of Corbis? imagery collections to effectively present and promote to clients.
* Actively promote the e-commerce capabilities of our website to our clients.
* Support every client for technical problems with our website or image quality and become a partner to them by offering solutions.
* Responsible for data cleaning.
* Outbound and cold calls to new or existing clients for promoting Corbis product lines
* Resolve technical support problems including web browser troubleshooting, simple firewall & DNS issues, fulfillment issues, speaking to image attributes via imaging tool (Irfanview or Photoshop), etc.
Team Building
* Work with other Corbis staff, as the client liaison, to create and implement compelling visual solutions packages tailored to the needs of accounts.
* Use the highest standards of interpersonal communication, to lead the Corbis team in developing business with accounts.
* Work closely with Sales Management to identify and development business opportunities within the designated account segment.
* Work closely with Account Service Manager for coaching and mentoring needs for client accounts and meeting client needs.
Internal Corbis Interaction
* Partner with marketing and creative photography to provide feedback on, and aid in the development of, compelling collateral and to report on market and creative trends.
* Partner with Marketing Intelligence, Assignment and Rights Services departments to provide feedback on, and aid in the development of their products and services based upon client usage, feedback and demand.
* Responsible for supporting the Finance department related to client invoicing, account information, credit and payment related activities.
Activity Reporting
* Enter all client interaction and transaction notes in CRM systems (Onyx) after every client contact. Maintain accurate, thorough, updated and timely notes in client contact database by recording every client contact.
* Perform all monthly and daily order ?back-end? and billing follow-up in a timely manner.
* Report all sales activities verbally and in writing to Sales Management.
Contacts:
This position has daily sales contact with all levels of external clients among unassigned Corbis accounts. This position must regularly report to the Account Services Manager regarding daily and monthly sales results, as well as ongoing sales development activities. This position works closely with other AE?s to effectively originate and coordinate new client development opportunities.
Required Skills:
* Demonstrated success in a results-driven sales environment, with a track record of achieving and exceeding demanding sales targets.
* Proven success in driving new business and revenue growth, especially within untapped client segments.
* 2-4 years experience in a proactive inside sales environment, within a service-related field, preferably related to the licensing, advertising, or media industries.
* Highly organized and can demonstrate the ability to coordinate a large number of client requests, complete high volumes of sales processing and sales development activities quickly and accurately.
* Ability to react effectively and with appropriate urgency to client requests that require quick responses.
* Candidate must have excellent communication, phone and interpersonal skills and a high level of integrity in order to effectively manage all levels of client interactions.
* Self-motivated, goal-oriented with strong time management skills required.
* Team?oriented: The ability to work effectively as a member of a diverse team of people.
* Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel is essential, Internet savvy a must.
* Willingness to commit to an extensive training program, and to participate in other professional development opportunities in order to establish the most effective sales program in the industry.
