Account Executives are responsible for soliciting and originating quality Sub-Prime loans while proactively building a network of wholesale mortgage brokers. In addition, Account Executives maintain current, thorough knowledge of lending programs, economic and real estate trends, and federal, state and local regulatory requirements; conduct business within guidelines of Washington Mutual policies and procedures, communicate with operations regarding the status of loans submitted and provide accurate and updated information to all customers and clients. Account Executives also share responsibility to minimize lending risks, and practice risk performance methods to improve overall operation of assigned territory and increase cost effectiveness while achieving sales volume goals and territory objectives.



Demonstrated sales ability and experience marketing products to Sub-Prime broker/office contacts.
Demonstrated ability to exercise judgment and tact in communicating with customers and describing various Bank products.
1-year experience in originating Sub-Prime loans required.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to work independently.
Self-motivated, high energy and excellent organizational and follow-up skills a must.
Prefer thorough knowledge of lending regulations, Sub-Prime loan requirements and general finance.
3 years residential lending operations experience preferred.
3 years outside sales experience preferred.
