Business Development Representative

Scope:

Interface with prospects, existing customers and vendors.

 

Job Purpose:

Business Development Representative(BDR) generates new accounts and opportunities for Inside Sales Account Executives as well as reviving inactive accounts.  In addition the BDR assists Inside Sales in administrative functions such as assisting with pricing and quoting, generating literature packets and maintaining manufacturer literature.  This position provides training and exposure to the telecommunications industry and the possibility of movement into an Inside Sales Account Executive position.

 

Duties:

Outreach

? Contacts new and existing accounts

? Updates customer information (ie. key purchasing contact, address,

phone) in ACT Database

? Sends literature packets to potential accounts

 Liaison

? Contacts existing accounts on a regular basis

? Reestablishes contact with inactive accounts

? Keeps contacts current on manufacturers

Implementation

? Provides new opportunities for Inside Sales

? Follow-up on leads from trade shows

? Enters contact information into ACT Database

? Maintains manufacturer literature

? Follow-up on literature packets sent to prospects
