Cargo Sales - New York/Tri State Area

Sales representatives are responsible for managing his/her sales pipeline and multiple sales campaigns from prospecting through customer close. Candidates must have the ability to develop and grow the company?s client portfolio.  Ideal candidates will have a proven documented sales track record in the customs brokerage/ freight forwarding industry.  The ideal candidate for this position will have worked the intrastate area territory successfully in the past and have experience in customs brokerage sales, ocean import/export sales and air freight import/export sales.  Candidates are also responsible for resolving client issues, monitoring client satisfaction & cross-selling to existing clients.

Qualifications:


  Successful candidates must be a self-starter with ability to plan and market products and services in order to achieve annual sales goals.  Candidates must also be able to develop and maintain positive client relations.  Candidates should be a team player with strong ability and desire to problem solve.  Position requires individual to be a self starter and work independently.  Prior experience in customs brokerage/ freight forwarding operations is preferred.  Candidates must be willing to travel up to 20%.A minimum of 3 years of experience in sales.

 

* Note this position is only for sales reps with requisite experience in Sales.  This is not for an operations position.

However candidates with strong backgrounds in B2B sales will be considered.

Must be computer savvy and Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook

Foreign language skills a plus

 

Compensation:  Commensurate with experience (Salary + Commission)
