Catering Sales

Job Purpose:

Pleases customers by promoting, selling, and providing pleasant and responsive catering experiences.



Duties:

 

* Builds and maintains steady base of contacts and customers by calling on local businesses and organizations; encouraging them to engage catering services for their social and business events;

 

* Meets catering services financial objectives by estimating requirements; analyzing recipes of dishes to determine food, labor, and overhead costs; obtaining client's approval of menu and pricing; collecting client revenues; initiating corrective actions; ensuring the success of the catered event;


* Maintains catered dining ambiance by assessing the customer's site; providing linen service, glassware, dinnerware, and utensil quality and placement; arranging for needed dining supplies and equipment; monitoring food delivery, presentation, and service.

* Identifies current and future customer service requirements by establishing rapport with potential and actual customers and other persons in a position to understand service requirements.


* Maintains customer satisfaction by investigating and resolving complaints about food quality and/or service.
