Oversee the management, development, and support of all assigned customers. Contacts to include both telephone and in person interactions. Drive sales of company products and services and apply company programs and resources to maximize sales volume and profitability. Provide timely support and account management services to maximize customer satisfaction and build value-based relationships.Responsible for customer relationship development with buying influences, marketing, technical sales and field sales for all assigned accounts.
Define and pursue opportunities through day-to-day customer management.
Plan and execute sales program initiatives by working with customers over the phone and in person.
Responsible for periodic visits to customer locations within the defined customer group.
Ensure relevant sales and marketing programs are sold in and executed to maximize sales.
Where convenient for the customer while on the phone and to reduce phone hand-offs, enter orders as required.
Serve as main point of sales contact for all assigned customers.
Coordinate account support with Customer Service Representative to maximize customer satisfaction.
Efficiently allocate time to grow opportunity customers while maintaining relationships with the entire portfolio of customers.
Create and maintain actionable database for customer history and proactive selling opportunities.
Survey customers for selling opportunities.
Track and maintain customer data and update appropriately.
Review and analyze financial data and sales reporting for accuracy.
Accountable for budget, sales plan and territory management administration.
Provide input for the development of sales and marketing tools to assist in proactive selling efforts via the phone.
Provide input for continuous process improvement within Inside Sales.
Track and report performance with management as appropriate.
Effectively communicate internally with multiple departments and disciplines that support the customer.
Communicate relevant market information to customer that is consistent with company objectives and market direction.
Manage Minimum Order Quantities (MOQ) with customer base.
Move or recommend customers failing to meet MOQ to distribution partners.Bachelor degree or equivalent experience required in Business, Marketing, Ag Business or Transportation/Logistics.
Experience in sales, customer service or a customer-facing role required.
Strong ability to negotiate with sound judgment skills.
Superior ability to communicate and influence others to action.
Ability to develop solid relationships based on trust and follow-through on commitments.
Proven organizational and planning skills.
Ability to analyze and evaluate deal or contract terms.
Strong analytical skills.
Understanding of commodity markets preferred.
