Channel/Assistant Channel Marketing Manager - Baldwin Hardware Retail

JOB SPECIFICATIONS (KEY RESULTS EXPECTED FROM THIS POSITION IN THE FIRST 6-12 MONTHS)

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):

? Co-develop merchandising and promotion strategies with Sales Management and Marketing for all retail accounts including Home Depot (and all subsidiaries), Lowe?s and The Great Indoors.

? Execute marketing plan initiatives relating to new product introduction, co-op advertising, merchandising, shelf space allocation, and off-shelf placement.

? Work with communication team to develop and produce communications and promotional initiatives for retail customers, such as point of purchase materials and account specific promotions.

? Facilitate and develop presentation material to support Retail Account sales team ? with special focus during the reviews.

? Assist sales team with plan-o-gram and modular development in order to maximize shelf space and sales.  Assist with POS and metric analysis to measure effectiveness.

? Present marketing strategies and new products to account buyers.

? Maintain and enhance the functionality and content on web-retailer sites, like Home Depot Direct, through established vendor portals.

? Provide support on special projects as assigned

? Able to work more than 40 hours weekly and weekends, as needed

? Able to travel, as needed approximately 30% travel required.

EMPLOYEE SPECIFICATIONS (MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS)

Education and Work Experience:

? Minimum 18 months sales and/or marketing experience in retail channels of distribution

? Marketing experience preferred

? Bachelors degree from accredited college or university

Technical/Functional Competencies:

? Strong presentation skills

? Computer literate on all major business software packages

? Strong product knowledge

? Basis understanding of HHI and Customer P&L?s

Leadership/Cultural Competencies:

? Strong emphasis on achieving commitments.  Understand goals and targets, measure vs. MBO?s, and communicates project status on a regular basis.
