Channel Development Manager - marine industry exp a must

Our client, a $10 billion international global power leader, has asked us to help them find a Channel Development Manager for their diesel marine initiatives. This position will be based in Charleston, SC, and a generous relocation package is provided. This individual will have the opportunity to establish, build, and maintain relationships with our client's master distributors worldwide.

Salary: 80k to 115k


Relocation within USA is available.

Essential functions:



Provide daily distribution support to worldwide master distributors

Identify and implement distribution improvement needs

Participate in strategic planning to ensure that distribution implications are identified and addressed.

Implement a customer support solution to the Prop to Helm initiative (Parts, Services, Publications, Training and Applications)REQUIREMENTSSkills/Experiences/Qualifications

Willingness for travel 25% (could be some international as well)

B. S. Engineering, Business, or Marketing (must have min. Bachelor's degree)

Extensive knowledge of marine distributor internal operations worldwide experience preferred

Previous background working in the marine industry, a plus

Knowledge of quality processes/performance measures

Experienced in process improvements

Knowledge of distribution customer service management

Knowledge of customer satisfaction index

Knowledge of distributor scoring metrics

Ability to coordinate activities of diverse and distant groups of people

Six Sigma (Black Belt or Green Belt preferred) or willingness to obtain

Language skills a plus
