Assignment Capsule:
Respond to incoming telephone calls from persons interested in buying or applying for a robust benefits health insurance plan offered in 20+ states. As a Client Specialist you will take incoming calls from customers inquiring about HumanaOne, Humana's individual insurance product. You will understand the customers needs, match those needs to the appropriate HumanOne product, and gather information.
This position is responsible for responding to health insurance agents and HumanaOne applicants. Callers often have minimal knowledge about health insurance or the application process so patience, succinctness and listening skills are critical skills for success.

Understands the audience and tailors delivery accordingly; shares information appropriately. Presents information and/or recommendations verbally, graphically and/or in writing.

Implementation/Execution: Effectively leverages available resources (financial, people, time) to accomplish objectives and maximize return on investment. Makes appropriate decisions in the face of ambiguity. Anticipates and resolves barriers and constraints. Organizes and manages multiple priorities and/or projects using appropriate methodologies and tools.
Problem Solving: Proactively identifies and evaluates problems. Identifies appropriate subject matter experts and other information resources to resolve problems. Collects, analyzes and draws conclusions from information. Leverages appropriate problem-solving/analysis tools and/or steps. Differentiates between symptoms and root cause - effectively handles resolution or hand-off both components.
Role Essentials:
1 to 3 years work experience in the field of sales, customer service, or telesales.
In this position you must obtain a health and life insurance license, a requirement fully supported by Humana Inc. If you do not have your license you will receive the appropriate training and information once you begin training.
Ability to overcome buying objections.
Solid oral and written communication skills.
Ability to work on a windows based computer system.
Is closely attuned to the needs and perspectives of customers and uses this insight for the benefit of the business.
Understands how to identify and leverage business opportunities.
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Must have excellent communication and listening skills.
Must be comfortable being on the phone 80% of the day.
Drug screen and background check is required.
Role Desirables:
Prior Call Center experience is desirable.
Associate or Bachelor's degree is desirable.
Work experience demonstrating success in team work.
Texas Health and Life producer licenses desired.
Bilingual in Spanish is helpful.
Reporting Relationships:
Will report to a Supervisor in the HumanaOne Call Center.
Additional Information:
Work is accomplished with headphones and a computer in a modern office environment.
Hours: Call Center hours are between 7am and 8 pm Mo
