Community Events Coordinator

 



We are a fast-growing health care company with Medicare Advantage health plans in multiple states.  We have plans to grow through acquisitions and new startup operations in additional markets over the next few years.  This growth and added complexity of our operation is requiring a significant investment in human resources as well and as a result we have a new opening for a Community Events Coordinator.

 

The Community Events Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and executing all community and public relations activities as directed by the Executive Director to support product sales for our markets.  This position endeavors to develop public relations opportunities, community outreach and identify community events to promote the image and name awareness of our products in compliance with CMS marketing regulations.

 

JOB COMPONENTS:

 

1. Development of community event and public relations plan and budget.

2. Identify organizations that serve the Medicare eligible populations and develop strong on going relationships with these organizations.

3. Maintain daily and monthly event schedules and coordinate Senior Management involvement as needed.

4. Establish plans and goals to assist market(s) in outreach programs to position products to optimize sales opportunities.

5. Work with area assisted/senior living centers to host seminars and other types of events.

6. Identify opportunities for senior management to participate on community boards.

7. Develop local relationships with political and service organizations that will create opportunities for SelectCare to establish referral patterns.

8. Coordinate health fairs and other venues to support sales and enrollment initiatives.

9. Establish and maintain strong working relationships with clients and vendors.

10. Participate as required as a member of the strategic marketing committee.

11. All other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

12. Occasional travel may be required.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

1. Minimum three to five (3-5) years public relations experience.

2. Two to three (2-3) Years College/continuing education; marketing degree preferred.

3. Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to take general direction/concept and manage complex projects within deadlines.

4. Excellent written/verbal communication skills.

Excellent computer/PC skills, including MS Office and Adobe Acrobat
